The ignition control module receives signals from the sensor and determines the operating status and position of the engine. Based on the sensor data, the ignition control module calculates the correct ignition timing and sends a trigger signal to the ignition coil. After the ignition coil receives the trigger signal, it converts the low voltage into high voltage and transmits it to the spark plug through the high-voltage wire. The spark plug creates an arc, or spark, which is conducted to the gas mixture in the combustion chamber, igniting the mixture. The ignition system continues to work to keep the engine running properly.
