Motorcycle CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) is an electronic ignition system used in motorcycles to generate and control high-voltage electrical pulses for the ignition process. It is a crucial component in the ignition system that provides a reliable and efficient spark to ignite the air-fuel mixture in the engine's combustion chamber.Capacitor: The CDI system uses a capacitor to store and discharge electrical energy. The capacitor charges up when the engine is running and releases the stored energy in a high-voltage pulse to the ignition coil and spark plug.
The working principle of the motorcycle igniter is that the igniter and the sensor work together to determine the flashover moment of the spark plug, also called the ignition moment. When the high-voltage package amplifies the voltage, it supplies the spark plug for ignition. When the spark ignites the fuel and air mixture, it will cause an explosion and push the piston. It moves up and down in the cylinder body to start the motorcycle engine.
